State Fair

Made it to the State Fair again, this time Aunt Amanda and Uncle John made the trip.  It was... well, it was a fair.

Clifford the Red Dog was there again (no Dan Wordell though, with his weirdo cape)

there were lots of tractors to play on

... and I mostly behaved

went down the big slide with Dad, overpriced, but fun

And we dined on all of the local cuisine

but most of the fun was had at the fountain, as usual

The Gap

Unfortunately, about 30 minutes after driving home from Chicago and my TV debut, I slipped and fell on my face, knocked my front tooth about 45 degrees inward, there was much blood.  My parents, with their nerves of steel, calmly called my dentist and we went in for and emergency Sunday appointment.  A unanimous decision was reached between my folks and the dentist, the tooth was done and needed to be removed.  So as my parent held me down, I lost my first tooth on 8/4/2013.  I was out running around 20 minutes later, because what's a gap in the teeth mean, really?  Child modeling might be out, but it'll grow back.

I was upset at first (taken moments after returning from the dentist)

but since then I've managed to enjoy myself

After all, there are many benefits from toothlessness.....

I have more in common with Michael Strahan

I could be a comic book mascot....

And I can be a hockey player for Halloween

My first MLB game

Saw my first ever MLB game at Wrigley Field, Dodgers vs. Cubs, 8/3/13

Visited the Fox TV Trucks beforehand, got to try on the Director's seat.  "Insert Chyron"

Daddy says the trucks can get stressful sometimes, but not as bad as changing my diaper....

... although I think he wanted Mattingly to pencil him into the lineup

Our seats were pretty nice (thanks EB)

I enjoyed the game, even though Capuano was pitching

We took lots of photos....

... and ate lots of stuff

My friend Lily was there

and so was my friend Elmo

And did I mention we got on TV, with an audio reference from the announcers?  Great day

Corn!

I had my first corn on the cob recently (I just licked off the butter and salt)

... However, it wasn't from the corn Mom and Dad planted in the garden, that didn't do so well....

Cut in half!

REMEMBER FOLKS - get your In&Out cut in half, it's less messy and makes it seem like you have twice as many burgers!

P.S. I've been lagging on the blog lately, but have some stuff backlogged.  A LOT of stuff has gone down.

Lefty?

Hey, what's up?  I think I might be left-handed, I've always hit that way at least......

Escape Artist

The day has finally arrived.  First it was the Pac-N-Play, but now the crib can no longer contain me.  (I think I'm also close to climbing the chain-link fence that surrounds my yard.)  Needless to say, the parents are concerned.

Harry Houdini was the greatest escape artist of his time....

and here I lay quietly in my bed...

but when I didn't feel like napping, I set up this elaborate plan to escape...

Dad was so impressed by the effort that I didn't have to nap

Beach Boardwalk

We hit up the Boardwalk on our way home from the beach to avoid traffic.  Place is kinda ghetto.  Dad thought it would be great for me to go on rides for the first time.  Mom wasn't as enthusiastic about that.  The churro was stale.

Dad learned too late that he wasn't able to ride with me, so he thought it best to just let me go for it.  I'm sure it was uncomfortable for him, but he trusted that I'd enjoy it.  I do think Mom might've been more uncomfortable though.

I made it through, no tears or anything.  Then, I went on the boats, I kinda got into a groove after a while.  So much so, that I threw a tantrum when I had to get off.  I'm not really in to the whole "waiting in line" thing.

After a dip in the Pacific and some french fries, Dad and I managed one last ride, once we saw the #3 car.  Dad thought I was up to the log ride, since we could go together and I recently reached the required 34 inches, but Mom disagreed.
